October 7 Anniversary: Israel Rising from Ashes to Renewed Hope
One year ago—as the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) was coming to a close, and as Israelis rested on the holy day of Simchat Torah—some 6,000 Hamas and Islamic Jihad militiamen breached the Gaza security fence and poured into Israel to murder, maim, and seize hostages. The so-called “al-Aqsa Storm” was more successful than even Hamas expected. …
Would Palestinian Statehood Bring Peace to the Middle East?
Many Western countries continue to call for a two-state solution—an independent state for Palestinians alongside that of Israel. But is this “solution” viable and could it bring peace to the Middle East? The answer is no—and here are a few reasons why.
US Pastors, Leaders: “You Are Not Alone, Israel”
“Why are you here?” was the question Israelis repeatedly asked us. Our group’s response was always similar: “Because we wanted to see for ourselves what Israel is facing and tell you that you are not alone. There are Christians in the United States that love and support you.”
ICEJ Donates Horses for Trauma Therapy Farm Near Gaza
The tranquil atmosphere at Kibbutz Urim belies the harsh reality these residents of the western Negev have endured for over two decades. The incessant threat of rocket attacks repeatedly forced families into bomb shelters at a moment’s notice. Add to that the terror tunnels and incendiary balloons coming from Gaza, which gnawed away at any sense of security. Many families lost loved ones to Palestinian terrorism. For children growing up in this environment, the fear and trauma left profound psychological scars. Many youngsters regressed emotionally, lost their joy, or developed negative defense mechanisms.

Does the House Bill Opposing Antisemitism Outlaw Parts of the New Testament?
Recently, the US House of Representatives passed a bill to enforce federal anti-discrimination laws on campuses. The bill, called the Antisemitism Awareness Act, requires universities to consider the IHRA definition when assessing whether an allegation was motivated by antisemitic intent, and failing to do so could result in their federal funds being withheld. Some say the bill outlaws parts of the New Testament. Is this true?
Caring for the Elderly and Holocaust Survivors in Battered Eshkol Region
An ICEJ team recently visited the Eshkol Community Center and was touched to see the resilience of the locals and staff. The Center’s lobby displays banners honoring those who lost their lives or were taken hostage, and paintings by local residents still hang on the walls from Sukkot 2023, just before the October 7 massacre, as no one has the heart to take them down.

What Is Aliyah and Is It a Biblical Concept?
Aliyah means “to ascend” or “to go up” in a spiritual sense and originally described the journey the children of Israel made three times a year to Jerusalem for the biblically mandated feasts (“appointments” or “holy days”) of Passover (Pesach), Pentecost (Shavuot), and Tabernacles (Sukkot).
