Thea Butler

Thea Butler is our behind-the-scenes IT dynamo who makes it possible for us to operate effectively at ICEJ USA. In her own words, “I help with a lot of tech stuff and fix things when they are broken.” She thrives on ensuring that technology tools can communicate with one another, stating, “I help them talk to each other when they don’t.” For Thea, removing work blockers and solving problems “feels like detective work.”

Originally from the Philippines, Thea met her husband, who is from Texas, and says she “moved to the United States for love.” She holds a degree in physics and has more than 20 years of experience in the IT field, 10 of which have been with the ICEJ.

“I believe that whenever God starts a work, He always intends to finish it. Sometimes, the process doesn’t flow smoothly. He imparts knowledge to people, like He did with Bezalel, to accomplish His tasks. Occasionally, I find myself among those who receive this knowledge, and I am simply here to share it,” says Thea.

Thea enjoys working for the ICEJ because she feels she is helping to prepare the way for the Lord’s return. “I want to be a believer who aligns with God’s will rather than against it.”

When not making our staff’s jobs easier with her work at the ICEJ, Thea enjoys watching Korean series, playing strategy board games, watching online courses, or playing with her dog or cats. One of her favorite passages in the Bible is Psalm 27.
