Bibles to UNESCO
We have just concluded another wonderful Feast of Tabernacles celebration in Jerusalem, attended once again by thousands of Christians from all over the world. This year’s gathering took place the same week that UNESCO – the United Nations forum entrusted with preserving world heritage and culture – passed a disgraceful resolution aimed at erasing the Jewish and Christian bonds to the Temple Mount and other holy sites in the Land of Israel, which they referred to only by their Muslim names. The ICEJ immediately denounced this appalling decision, and as the Feast was ending I issued an urgent call for Christians everywhere to respond in a truly unique and powerful way.
We are asking Christians all over the globe to take a Bible, use a highlighter and mark some of the many passages where it speaks of “Jerusalem” and the “Temple”, and then mail it to the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Make sure to include a short letter expressing your disapproval of the recent vote.

We are hoping to inundate UNESCO with tens of thousands of Bibles to drive home the message that Jews and Christians have a much more genuine, historic connection to Jerusalem and the Temple than Muslims. In fact, the city is never mentioned even once in the Koran, whereas Jerusalem and the Temple Mount are central to nearly every book in the Bible and to the Jewish and Christian faiths.
Please join us in demanding that UNESCO abandon, once and for all, these blatant attempts to rewrite history. You will not only be standing with Israel but also defending the Christian sites as well.
So send a Bible to the UNESCO offices today! The address is:
