Communications Coordinator
McKenna Espy

She began her career as a classically trained pianist, earning a full scholarship to Union University and teaching piano for seven years. “However, following my undergraduate studies, I felt a call to transition into nonprofit communications through Christian Radio, where I developed a strong foundation in donor relations, market research, and strategic communication.” The role allowed her to thoughtfully integrate her background in music with her growing passion for communications.
Israel held a special place in her heart for many years, but her perspective deepened during a 2021 study-abroad trip for a New Testament survey course. “While I was already supportive of Israel, seeing the land and the people firsthand strengthened my commitment.” Now, at ICEJ, she applies her professional experience in support of mission-driven work connected to Israel.
McKenna’s favorite part of working at the ICEJ is the people she works alongside. “Being part of a strong, collaborative team not only enables me to do my best work but also inspires excellence in all that we do. At ICEJ, the mission is always at the center—and everyone’s dedication and support help ensure that it guides every initiative and decision.”
Mark 10:45 is her favorite Scripture: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” For McKenna, it’s a constant reminder that humbling ourselves and serving others is never beneath us “because our perfect Savior demonstrated it first.”
In her free time, McKenna loves exploring her creative side through music and the arts, whether studying classical piano, singing worship music, or enjoying Broadway theater. But traveling is one of her greatest passions: “It combines my love of new experiences with quality time with my husband.” She also enjoys life with her miniature schnauzer, “Pepper,” and is a devoted Diet Coke enthusiast.
