Stewardship Associate
Alexandria Rentz
Alexandria has been periodically involved with the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) for several years, most recently joining as the stewardship associate in 2024. She describes the best part of working with ICEJ USA as the community of believers and their love for the Lord and Israel. “I also love my job contacting and praying with ICEJ donors,” she shares.
“The first time I read the entire Bible was when the Lord called me to Israel in 1977 as a young widow,” Alexandria recalls. “I was raised in a traditional Roman Catholic home and didn’t have my own Bible.” However, her then-fiancé (now husband) introduced her to the Scriptures through his church. “I never realized how important Israel was to God. And because I loved Jesus, it became important to me!” Alexandria lived in Jerusalem for seven years and says, “God did more in me than I ever did for Him during those years.” At one point, she smuggled Bibles into China with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and participated in a prayer mission to the 10/40 Window, which included Jordan, Syria, and Thailand.
Alexandria has also been an airline hostess, worked in hotel management, and was an administrative assistant and substitute teacher at a classical Christian elementary and high school. “I was raised in hospitality the first 10 years of my life, so I’m naturally a people person—all my jobs have been service-oriented,” says Alexandria.
When not working, she loves reading, playing games, or going to the gym. Her favorite chapter of the Bible is Psalm 91, which she says brought her great peace during her husband’s cancer diagnosis and treatments.
Eva DeBoar has been with the ICEJ USA since January 2010, fulfilling various administrative positions over the years. She handles donor gifts, ensuring everything is filed correctly, and periodically calls donors to check in. She also sends out magazine requests. “Israel is important to me because it is important to God,” says Eva. “He desires that all Israel be saved, so that is my desire also.”
One of her favorite things about working for the ICEJ is hearing firsthand accounts from Israel—especially Holocaust Survivor stories. But she also loves the comradery she has with other employees. Something unique about Eva is the fact that her daughter and son-in-law lived in Israel for five years, and four of their children were born there. “I visited Israel five times,” says Eva, “once on a tour, but the other four for the births of my grandchildren.” One of Eva’s favorite verses is Psalm 73:6: “My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
