Managing Editor
Karen Engle
Karen Engle is ICEJ USA’s Managing Editor and oversees the production of ICEJ’s monthly magazine Word From Jerusalem, manages Embassy Publishers—ICEJ’s publishing house—and handles ICEJ’s education platform, ICEJ U. She is passionate about teaching about God’s purpose and plan for Israel and the nations within the local church and while touring groups in the land of Israel. She has a master’s in biblical studies and theology with an emphasis in Israel studies and wrote the Bible study A People Chosen: God’s Purpose and Plan for Israel and the Nations in 2017, which won the Excellence in Editing award that year, to help people understand from a biblical perspective why Israel matters. One of Embassy Publishers first books she edited, Every Generation’s Story, won the Editor’s Choice Award for 2023.
Her love for Israel began through a study of the Feasts of the Lord more than 15 years ago, leading to a trip to Israel in 2014 that changed the trajectory of her life. She began taking groups on teaching tours to the land and teaching and speaking to small and large groups whenever asked about why Israel matters in God’s plan of redemption.
In her free time, she loves to read, run, hike, and spend time with her two grandsons. She and her husband live in northern Washington State.
